Kanchanaburi is a city that borders Myanmar. It is a city full of natural attractions for example moutains, river Kwai and stunning Erawan water fall. At the same time, it is an important ancient city that has appeared frequently in Thai history and have interesting past which is associated with the events of World War 2

-Death railway (Thai-Burma railway) and Bridge over the river Kwai built during World War 2 by the Japanese army recruiting many prisoners of war to build bringing loss and death of them from disease and food shortages until it was named "the Death Railway".

-Death railway museum exhibit stories about the history of the Death Railway.

-Cemetery second world war  containing 6,982 holes of prisoners of war who died during the construction of the Death Railway in mourning for those people.

-Hell fire pass is associated with the Death Railway where slaves drilled the passageway for trains by hand during World War 2 to connect Thailand with Burma. It is estimated that up to 80,000 Asians and 12,000 prisoners died in the work.

-Kanchanaburi skywalk where you can enjoy the wonderful view of the River Kwai and mountains from a high angle.

-Tiger cave temple:  There is a large Buddha image in the blessing posture enshrined on the hill where you can see a beautiful view of the lake and Vajiralongkorn Dam.

-Prasat mueng sing: It is the only Khmer Art Historical Park in Kanchanaburi. Most of the Khmer arts are found in the Northeast of Thailand.

-Erawan waterfall is a large and beautiful waterfall divided into 7 large tiers, where you can walk up to each tier of the waterfall and swim.
