Ayutthaya

It is an important city in Thai history. It was the former capital of Thailand before Thonburi and Rattanakosin in the present. There are a very famous amazing "Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Historical Park" which is World Heritage Site certified by UNESCO. If you are interested in Thai history This is a great place to visit.

Within the park there are important ancient sites such as Wat chai wattanaram, Wat Phra Si Sanphet, Wat Ratchaburana, Wat Mahathat and Wat Yai Chai Monkol
